Or stick to the tried-and-tested teeny-ballad blueprint that Boyzone embraced, and eventually made their own? Wisely, Gately has chosen the latter--he hasn't the iconic charisma to carry off a fully-fledged reinvention a la George Michael, nor the natural exuberance of Robbie Williams to transcend his roots. But bland as New Beginning sometimes is, it's a subversive, and sometimes surprisingly frank document of Gately's attempts to hide his sexuality--and his lover--from an adoring public. "I cannot help myself from falling in love," he argues, on "If Only You Were Here". To his credit, he sounds like he's enjoying it all immensely.

Breathless is the second album by winner of The X Factor, Shayne Ward, released on November 26, 2007.
Producers Rami Yacoub, Arnthor Birgisson, and Ryan Tedder worked on the album.
On completing the album Ward has called it a “funky, sexy and different” step for him.

Two years after winning The X Factor, Manchester-born Shayne Ward follows up his eponymous 2006 debut. While that album was predominantly composed of ballads, this release sees Ward “acting his age” with a collection of infectious, uptempo, RnB-influenced pop. Produced by pop supremos extraordinaire Maratone (Britney, Westlife, Celine Dion) and Ryan Tedder (J-Lo, Natasha Bedingfield, Leona Lewis), it includes the singles ‘Breathless’ and the no.2 double A-side hit ‘No U Hang Up’/'If That’s OK With You’.

On 2nd December 2007, the album reached #1 in the Irish album charts, knocking Leona Lewis off the top. It debuted at #2 in the UK Albums Chartselling 96,000 in it’s first week, being held back by his X Factor successor Leona Lewis’s debut album “Spirit” which sold over 164,000 in it’s third week.

Where We Are is the tenth album from Irish boyband Westlife. It was released on 27 November 2009 in Ireland and 30 November 2009 in the UK through Syco Music. The first single from this album is "What About Now" and was released on 23 October 2009,as a digital download a day later as a CD single.

Background:
The song "Shadows" which has been confirmed to be included on the album was written by Ryan Tedder and AJ McLean for the Backstreet Boys' seventh album This Is Us but didn't make the track listing. It was subsequently purchased by record label boss Simon Cowell for Leona Lewis's second album Echo but it was decided that it better suited a boyband and was consequently given to Westlife to record. "No More Heroes", co-written by Lindy Robbins, is also slated to appear on the upcoming album.

Mark Feehily told the The Daily Mirror "We wanted the first single from our new album to be somewhere between the Westlife sound our fans know and love, and the new direction we're heading in. We've been experimenting with a fresh vibe on this record. After 11 years we see this as phase two of the Westlife story."

Shane Filan talks about the content of the album and stated:

A different direction might be a bit wrong. I think it's still pop music, but there's a different variation on it. One massive thing is we worked with different producers, who we've never worked with before, and new song writers. There are thirteen songs on the album and twelve of them are originals. There's more tempo, more rocky songs, some more american songs, some darker songs on there with darker lyrics. It's the best production we've had on any other album. The strings, the music is just on another level. Even if you're not a Westlife fan but you're a music fan, you will recognise the quality on this album.
